While the property does have traditional electric and is tied in to the local grid, the property also enjoys a solar grid tie solar systems, generating over 14,000 watts. Energy used by guests on this property is coming directly from the sun and generate zero carbon output. What’ s more, the system feeds extra energy that is not used back to grid to satisfy the needs of others on the island. In addition, hot water is generated by solar hot water heating systems which supplements the traditional electric hot water heater, LED lights are used throughout and all appliances are certified as the most energy efficient in the market. So feel good about the energy you use, its all coming from renewable sources. Of course the best form of conservation is to use less. We encourage guests to keep all energy usage reasonable.
